We create to connect.
At HeadFullOfRocks, we create at the intersection of the beautiful and the bizarre. Through fibre art, theatre, and digital storytelling, we celebrate those who’ve felt different, overlooked, or out of place. With humour, heart, and handmade wonder, we build a world that’s decadent, weird, honest, and gentle. HFoR is a community of dreamers reminding you: you are exactly where you are, where you need to be.
HeadFullOfRocks (HFoR) began in 2021 in a backyard in Surrey, BC. What started as a way to explore fibre art and character work in community has grown into a multidisciplinary practice rooted in storytelling, texture, and transformation. Our first installation appeared in Rumble Theatre’s Symbiotic Cabaret (2022), followed by our stage debut with La Poza at Live Acts Vol. 2 in 2023, where we introduced our signature use of crochet and costuming to support emotional expression through performance.
In 2024, we debuted The Midnight Parade to a sold out audience as part of the rEvolver Festival. Since then, our goal has been to develop HFoR into something larger and more sustainable. We hope to develop into a community that serves as a beacon for those who feel lost in their own identity.
We are now focused on expanding our work beyond traditional theatre. This includes digital media, wearable fibre art, and character-driven content designed to build community, support self-expression, and engage audiences both online and in person. HFoR is growing into a creative brand that embraces vulnerability, joy, and the richness of difference.
